A Bethany Beach warm hello! Bethany's serene and peaceful nature has enamored families for over 100 years. With its quaint location, clean sandy beaches and beautiful views of both ocean and bay view, Bethany Beach awaits your visit.

Many years ago, Bethany Beach was used as a Christian retreat. The town of Bethany has made a gradual transformation into a small but select vacation area for a chosen few who prefer the non-hustle and bustle of other vacation destinations on the East Coast. Over the years several Bethany families have become part of this tradition, coming to see us year after year. As a child, my parents brought my older sister and two younger brothers to this "quiet resort." And Bethany Beach was always the highlight of our year. We played on the beach all day, riding the waves. We went home to our small cottage to pick crabs until we were full. Then we would stroll back to the Bethany Beach boardwalk to sit under the stars. These memories have lasted my lifetime and hopefully my children as well.

The elementary schools are some of the best. Lord Baltimore school is a blue ribbon school. Frankford School has had many honors. Southern Delaware School of the Arts is terrific. The teachers and school personnel care about the education of the students. I didn't realize how truly lucky we were until we moved here permanently.

The neighboring beaches to the north and south all have something special to offer. Fenwick Island, DE has excellent restaurants and quaint shops. Rehoboth Beach has a boardwalk and designer clothing outlets. They all enjoy no sales tax. Ocean City, MD, our big sister vacation and neighboring state has more exciting and popular attractions. It is known as the White Marlin Capital, so sport fishing is exceptional A boardwalk train ride is perfect for those people watchers. Exciting, toe curling amusement rides are there for the kid in all of us. Golf is popular in all areas on the Eastern Shore.

Children of all ages fall in love with our area and all it has to offer. Whether fishing, swimming, off shore powerboat racing, golfing, eating, shopping or relaxing with friends under a beach umbrella; there are plenty of memories.
